American horror story hair


Tools needed:

Pintail comb
Bobbypins
Medium curlers

Step by step:
1.Create a side parting
2.Start to curl the hair
3. do 3 curls on the side with more hair ontop and 2 curls on the other side on top, along the sides and brickwork curls on the back.
4. once the curls have cooled down undo them and brush out.
5. roll the back at the bottom and pin

Dark eyes and lips.

Tools needed:
Kryolan viva palette
Illamasqua neutral palette
primer
kryolan foundation
mascara
mascara wands
cleanser, toner and moisturiser
setting powder

1) Begin by cleansing, toning and moisturising the face
2) Next apply the Illamasqua primer
3) Apply the kyrolan foundation and conceal where needed.
4) Set this with the Illamasqua setting powder.
5) Take a piece of sticky tape and place diagonal the the ends of the eyes.
6) Apply the kyrolan viva palette brown in the crease of the eye
7) Apply the black from the Illamasqua neutral palette on the outside of the eye
8) Apply the gold from the same palette all over the eye
9) remove the sticky tape.

Keep the colour blended yet bold.

Contemporary Victorian hair styles: inspired my American horror story coven

Tools needed:
Curling iron
Two hair bands
Pin tail comb

1) section the hair into a middle parting
2) take the hair from both sides and place into separate pony tails
3) curl each pony tail lightly and brush through
4) gently pull pieces of hair out to give it an undone look.







Victorian hairstyles: Estelle and Miss Havisham

Tools needed: 
Curling tong 
Curby grips 
Pin tail comb 
Hair band 
Sectioning clips

1) Begin by sectioning the hair into three sections, a small section at the front, a middle section and a lower section at the back. 
2) Then put the middle section in a pony tail. 
4) Twist the pony tail and place into a bun 
5) curl the bottom section
6) Place the curls around the bun for decoration. 
7) Curl the front section 
8) place around the bun as decoration. 

Cuts, scratches, bruises and the perfect black eye


Wounds
Tools needed 
Cinewax/Plasto
Spirit gum
Sealer
Fake blood/puss/dirt
Collodion (used for old cuts and scars)
Tuplast can be used for gashes

1)Mould the cinewax on the back of your hand to warm it up for a butter like texture
2)Roll the wax in to a sausage shape
3)Place it on to the skin and mould so the edges are seamless
4)Cut the wax down the middle
5)Use a pin to play around the gash
6)Add sealer or latex on top with a cotton bud
7)Cleanser and moisturiser can be used to help mould the wound
8)Use a mixture of foundations, colours, blood, dirt and wound filler to add depth to the wound 


Black eye 
Tools needed:
Supra Colour palette or a Kryolan bruise palette

Think about:
How was the bruise created? How old is it?

Build up the bruise using tones of yellow, purple, brown and even blue.
Remember to blend seamlessly.


Old scarring:
To create the effect of an old scar:
1)Apply derma shield to the skin first
2)Apply Collodion to the area and then pinch the skin together to make a crease
3)Dry with a hairdryer on a cool setting

Victorian hairstyles: creating Estelle and Miss Havisham.

Here are the designs for my Miss Havisham and Estelle hairstyles. 











Here is the design for Estelle's hair. The style is going to be similar to that of Miss Havisham however overall it is going to look more put together. There will also be a bow added to decorate the hair style. 






Here is my sketch for Miss Havisham's hair. As you can see the overall look is more messy and loose. I will also add dry shampoo to the hair to give the appearance of the model looking aged.
